Snowflake Ornaments

We made snowflake ornaments to give to our family for the holidays. A big cheer goes out to Mr. Domingo for helping us craft them and then wrap them. What would we do without our Mr. Domingo?

Mesure Me!

We are working on a unit of linear measure.

We went on a room hunt to measure all sorts of items. We are using the standard unit of centimeters (cm).

We have decided the width of our thumbs is a cm and the width of both of our wrists is a decimeter (dm).

We love working together because we have a lot more fun!

Pilgrims Project

Our students were given the opportunity to create a project as a culminating event for our Pilgrims Unit.

Most of the students opted to create a poster.
Students were then given time to present their posters.

We even had one student make a Room Scoot. Ask your child what a Room Scoot is. We really enjoy our Room Scoots.

Holidays Around the World: Food!

We studied holidays from various cultures in December. Then students asked to volunteer to bring food from the various cultures. We had only one student this year take us up on our offer.

Her grandmother made us a sweet potatoe pie in honor of Kwanzaa! Thank you! That pie was gobbled up and not a drop was left because we found the pie so delicious! Yum!
We had another student bring in drinks. Thank you.

Principal Ficken Reads to Us

Each year, Principal Ficken read each class a story as a gift of time.

This year he read a very popular book! Thank you, Principal Ficken!
